The department of Mechanical Engineering has inaugurated Indian Welding Society (IWS) forum in the year of 2011 at SVS College of Engineering. IWS is a professional body committed to cause promotion and advancement of welding science and technology in India.
In SVS College of Engineering, IWS is presently undertaking 1) Industrial visits 2) Workshops 3) Faculty development programs by the support of experts from various organizations to motivate major focus in research activities. The IWS activities are pioneering and providing to bring out the talents of the students and the faculties of SVS College of Engineering to revere the needs of global requirement in the welding area. The forum is to cheer the students to excite their technical ideas into novel advancement activities and to find a positive mode.
